It is also a key component of nucleic acids-DNA and RNA. As a natural and potent source of phosphorus and calcium, phosphate rock is widely used in organic agriculture. Organic Materials Review Institute (OMRI), USA listed phosphate rock in certified organic farming, agriculture, gardening and food production as per USDA National Organic Program Regulations.
