Retinol + Lactic Acid + Tea Tree oil + Urea
WHAT IS IT? Nigrifix cream is a customized formulation to treat hyperpigmentation associated with acanthosis nigricans. It helps to clear the darkness and hardness related to certain body parts like neck, nape, thighs, elbows, knees, knuckles and back.
KEY HIGHLIGHTS
Acanthosis nigricans is a skin condition characterized by areas of dark, velvety discoloration in body folds and creases. The affected skin can become thickened. Most often, acanthosis nigricans affects your armpits, groin and neck.
Applying moisturizer to the affected skin really don’t work in these conditions. Nigrifix cream is a special formulation designed by keeping in mind the flaws face by skin due to acanthosis nigricans.
It is first of its kind formulation to repair the damaged skin and prevent further damage.
Acanthosis nigricans causes thicker and darker patches or streaks around joints and body areas with many creases and folds. A perfect treatment regimen should include a gentle yet effective exfoliating agent, deep moisturizer and a soothing agent. Retinol is considered as the first line treatment of acanthosis nigricans. Several researches suggest that applying lactic acid with retinol gives a synergistic effect in the treatment of darkened and patched skin.
To make the formulation best suitable for sensitive skin areas like armpits, groin and thighs, a concentrate of premium moisturizing agents like jojoba oil and sweet almond oil are added.
Using tea tree oil for the skin helps with a variety of conditions. This essential oil is rich in terpenoids to sooth the dry and irritated skin. Hence, adding benefits to the darkened and dehydrated skin.
Cleanse the skin and dry. Apply sufficient amount of Nigrifix cream only on the affected skin area and massage gently till it gets absorbed. For best results apply daily.
Water (Aqua), Lactic Acid, Urea, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Lecithin, Retinol, Water Glycerin, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Glycerine, Cetearyl Alcohol & Ceteareth-20, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Oil, Zinc Oxide, Camphor, Xanthan Gum.
RETINOL is considered one of the first-line treatment option for acanthosis nigricans. This vitamin A based ingredient is the most used and most studied compound for anti-ageing.
One of the many noteworthy aspects of retinol is that it stimulates skin cell turnover, which is manifested as a sort of ""exfoliating"" effect. Dull and dry skin makes way for new, brighter, and more even-toned skin, armed with increased levels of collagen and elastin. The newer skin is stronger and smoother and has fewer overall imperfections. Thus, even relatively ""problem-free"" skin can have radiating effects from retinol.
LACTIC ACID is a hydrating alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) commonly derived from milk, but there are alternative vegan sources, like fermented corn starch, beets, and other sugar-rich foods.
It exfoliates by loosening the bonds between dead and hard skin cells to reveal a more radiant complexion. Additionally, it works on the hydration of the dry skin.
The combination of lactic acid with retinol gives a synergistic improvement in the symptoms of acanthosis nigricans.
UREA is a humectant due to its ability to retain moisture by binding to water. When urea is applied to the skin, it is able to penetrate into the stratum corneum to further enhance water absorption. At high concentrations, urea is a keratolytic and helps to loosen scaly, dead skin allowing for exfoliation and improve cellular turnover. By retaining moisture and enhancing the skin’s renewal process, urea helps to ultimately strengthen the stratum corneum barrier function to fight the scaly and leathery skin.
TEA TREE OIL comes from the leaves of Melaleuca alternifolia, a small tree native to Queensland and New South Wales, Australia. This natural oil is a potent soothing and anti-inflammatory agent which calms the irritated and itchy skin. Makes it a must for the treatment regimen of acanthosis nigricans.
