Millet flakes are made from millet grains that have been processed to produce flattened, flaky pieces. This flakes are used in healthy and dietable breakfast.The process of making millet flakes typically involves several steps, including:
Cleaning: The whole millet grains are first cleaned to remove any impurities.
Dehusking/degermination: to remove husk from the outer layer of Millet grain . It was done for polishing of grains.
Grading: Then the grains are graded according of grain size, quality etc.
Cooking: Cooking process are same for all the grains.
Flaking: During the process food grains are passed through flaking machine to get the flakes of desired thickness.
Drying: Thereafter the flakes were collected into hot air oven to remove moisture level of 8-10 % and next cooled to room temperature.
Packing and store: The dried and cooled flakes are filled into HDPE Bags.
