Chak Hao, black rice is an indigenous rice grown in Manipur's plains and hills. Its colour is powerful white and sticky activity adding to the health benefits of this rice variety The name chak-hao means "delicious rice". Black rice is high in fibre, protein, vitamins, minerals, and anthocyanin. It is also a good source of iron, vitamin E, and antioxidants.
