Warli is a traditional art form of Maharashtra. Its roots can be traced to as early as the 10th century A.D. These paintings are distinctive with their vivid contrast expressions and these paintings are mainly dominated by basic geometric shapes like circles, triangles and squares. These geometric shapes stand as a symbol of natural elements in our environment. Warli paintings are made up of natural color.

In this painting the tribal artist is trying to express the view of a jungle while walking back home in the evening. Wherein young and old people are going back to home after collecting dried woods to cook their meals, feeding cattle in the jungle and performing Tarpa dance to celebrate their joyful moments and birds living big old tree.
