Taarkasi or Brass Inlay is a technique where thin strips of wire are engraved on the surface of wood. Steps involved n the process of making Taarkasi products:

1. Drying of wood to remove moisture.

2. Wood is cut to the required shapes & dimensions.

3. Marking is done on wood & strips are cut out with the help of scissors.

4. Once the marking is done on the wood the craftsman starts engraving the design with the help of a half-round chisel & hammer.

5. After that product is rubbed to give a smooth finish.
