The Prakriti foods by Khatirdaari Defatted Almond meal is made from Kashmiri Mamra almonds sourced directly from the farmers of Kashmir. Defatted Almond meal/flour is a low fat alternative to traditional almond meal/flour. Most or all of the oil from whole almonds is removed through the cold press method and then ground to a flour to get a healthy high protein, high fiber product. Atleast  80% fat is removed through this process. This flour is also a good source of vitamins and minerals like Magnesium, Potassium and Iron.

This defatted flour is a versatile, gluten free flour which can be used in the same way as traditional almond flour but is a good source of fiber and protein. Because of it’s nutty flavour it might be a good option to use in baking cakes, cookies, waffles etc.  Adding it to savoury dishes will also add a nice nutty flavor and bite to these dishes.
