Our Balaghat Yellow Sorghum is grown in the Balaghat district of Madhya Pradesh, India. The region is known for its rich soil and ideal climate for growing sorghum. Our farmers use traditional methods to cultivate the sorghum, and it is harvested by hand to ensure the highest quality.
Once harvested, the sorghum is cleaned and sorted to remove any impurities. It is then milled to remove the hulls, and the resulting grains are packaged for sale. Our Balaghat Yellow Sorghum is available in 10kg bags.
To cook sorghum, rinse it well in cold water and then add it to a pot with 2 cups of water for every 1 cup of sorghum. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 45 minutes, or until the sorghum is tender. You can also cook sorghum in a rice cooker or pressure cooker.
Sorghum is a versatile grain that can be used in a variety of dishes. It can be used as a substitute for rice in pilafs, stir-fries, and soups. It can also be used to make porridge, bread, and pancakes.
