Limited Edition No. 5 is a complex mixture of unfettered courage and unprecedented ingenuity of two people who have inspired this particular world-famous variant of coffee In the late 1600s, the Britishers realized the potential of the Indian arabica beans, they started importing the beans into Europe through British East Indian Company offices packaging them in thick pore jute bags. The captain of one of the first of these ships docked at the western coast of India, aka the Malabar coast realized the inevitability of avoiding north easter monsoon. He gathered the courage to fight the ocean but could not reach far. The waylaid ship at the coast gathered moisture from the sea and rains and bloated up the beans. Unaware of the deformation, the captain carried on with his arduous and dangerous journey through the coasts of Africa to reach the docks in England. The trader receiving the beans thought of them to be useless when a master roaster tried his hand at roasting them lighter than the usual to find a unique flavour that was stronger than any other coffee he had encountered. We are bringing the coffee beans processed through the same centuries old accidental process for a medium roasted and full bodied variant that will fill up your senses.
