For Ages 5 years + Embark on a creative journey into the world of tribal art with our Pithora Art Kit. Inspired by the vibrant Pithora art form practiced by the Rathwa tribe of Gujarat, India, this kit offers young artists a chance to explore the rich cultural heritage and create their own Pithora art.
The Pithora paintings are done by the Rathwa, Bhil, Nayak and Tadi tribes of Gujarat and near by areas, which originated a few thousand years ago, inspired by the cave painitngs of this region. These paintings are also made if the children are unwell, or if the children or cattle are unyielding. These are seldom made for decorative or ornamental purposes.
Potli is a member of FAIR TRADE FORUM-India. We follow all FAIR TRADE practices laid down by the Forum. Part of the proceeds of each kit go to folk artists who has helped in creating this kit.
Adult supervision may be needed as the kit contains paints and small parts, and to read from the facts sheet
