This fine example of Bhairava shows Shiva in his most fierce form with hair blazing and fangs exposed. He holds a skull cup, dagger, noose and drum encircled with a cobra. The dagger can be removed from the statue and is cast separately. He is naked having only a long string of bells going down his left leg. He is accompanied by a dog, a fit companion for Shiva in his beggar form.He has a highly polished, bright bronze tone. The artists used a higher content of Bronze (a more expensive metal) thus the statue has a brilliant bronze tone.
