The Gamusa of Assam is an article of significance fo the indigenous people of Assam.  It is generally a white rectangular piece of cloth with primarily a red border on three sides. In addition to red, other colors are also used. Although cotton yarn is the most common material for making/weaving gamosas, othr yarns like pat are also used occassionally. This gamusa is made by thr SHG members of Saraighat CLF and very comfortable to use. Very light weighted and customer friendly product and demanded by the customers for regular use.
