The technology is a combination product of effective individual chemicals and organic solvents which are capable of removing the outer mealy covering of mealybugs. We have conducted significant number of lab and field trials to examine the potential of our formulation in solubilizing the mealybug wax which acts as protective coating for any insecticidal penetration. once the mealy wax is dissolved the mealybugs are exposed/ become naked which are highly susceptible to any insecticidal activity. After exposure the mortality occurs due to desiccation. From the experiment trials we concluded that our technology is capable of dissolving the mealybugs wax. Our technology targets the mealy coating of mealybugs thereby, linking the potential of our technology in IPM, mealybugs control and eradication programs.:

This innovation targets the wax layer that shields mealybugs from insecticides, facilitating more effective pest control.

Mealybugs are a notorious problem in various cultivation settings due to their protective mealy wax covering, which traditional pest management strategies struggle to penetrate. These strategies typically involve the use of chemical pesticides and botanical formulations, which must be applied repeatedly. However, these methods often fall short due to the protective wax barrier.

The Arka Mealy Melt features a blend of organic solvents specifically designed to remove this protective coating, rendering the pests vulnerable to insecticidal treatments. Extensive laboratory and field tests have demonstrated the product’s efficacy in dissolving the wax, leading to the pests’ dehydration and death.
